Anyone and everyone are welcome to display their talents during the Fair Week! Whether it’s photography, antiques, knitting, sewing, quilting, crocheting, baking, or flower arranging, we have a spot for you inside the Community Building. There is no entry fee for your items and premiums are paid for first, second, and third places. Bring items to the Community Building on dates announced in Fair Time magazine.

For more information, call the Fair office at (231) 347-1010.

The Fair welcomes back the Firefighter Show this year, offering kids the chance to see what it takes to be a firefighter! Shows will be Tuesday, Aug. 23, through Saturday, Aug. 27, with three shows daily taking place on the children’s stage area near the Fair office.

New this year to the fair is The Comedy Farm Magic Review, a family fun show that is full of surprises. Fairgoers will experience farm-themed magic, comedy, farm safety tips, and agricultural information. Each show features illusionist Farmer John and his farm helper Miss Jaz and the always silly Clucky the Talking Chicken. Shows daily Tuesday, Aug. 23, through Saturday, Aug. 27. Come out and see what all the balking and mooing is about!

Local 4-H youth spend countless hours preparing for the livestock shows and auctions that take place during Fair Week; it represents the culmination of so much hard work, and it also helps to fund many of these youth’s future educational pursuits.
